Do-A-Double Rideshare & Caravan

Use this site to find a driver or passengers and travel together to and from the first of two races in two days.

Moreover, any and all information provided regarding drivers, passengers, race events, financial obligations, food, parking, hotel accommodations and all other specifics comes with the expectation that independent verification will be made by the participants and done so in a timely manner. Participants must use this information at their own peril.

How This Works:

  1. You plan to participate in or be a spectator of the Do A Double May 4 – 6. (Separate race, room and food arrangements necessary).
  2. You may register as a driver or a passenger in a vehicle going to and from either Kenosha Wisconsin or Indianapolis, Indiana on one of the forms below.
  3. Passenger agrees to pay driver $20 for gas and tolls.
  4. Drivers are given passenger information and agree with the organizers to accept or reject passengers.
  5. Kalamazoo organizers “match” drivers and passengers.
  6. Drivers and passengers make travel arrangements.
  7. Organizers keep applicants informed of progress of “matches.” There is no guarantee that an applicant will be provided with a “match.”

Application Timetable:

  1. Submit request form to drive or ride by Friday, March 2.  For many reasons (such as finding a room) early commitments are recommended.
  1. Matches will be made between January 9 and March 9.
  1. Passenger payment to driver will occur at Wings Event Center at 11:45 a.m. on Friday, May 4. Caravans leave at noon for Kenosha and Indianapolis at noon.
  1. Organizers will keep participants informed about packet pickup.

Other Information:

  1. Kalamazoo organizers have secured blocks of rooms at hotels within walking distance of the starting lines of the starting lines. Inquire with Kalamazoo organizers.
  1. Individuals who will be traveling to Kenosha or Indy, but who will be not participating in this ride-sharing experience, may contact Kalmazoo organizers about their intention to be part of the Do-A-Double caravan (and/or their desire to utilize the blocked-room offering).
